Antawan Anderson is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He is a devoted husband and a father of three. He began his own business, A. Anderson & Associates in 1999 and later formed Anderson & Company, LLC (ANC) in 2002. His main office is in the Owings Mills, Maryland, with satellite offices in Greenbelt MD and Atlanta GA.
Prior to starting ANC, Antawan worked for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) where he wrote healthcare procedures and participated on a committee to express his opinions on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) laws. He coordinated and directed health care companies on procedures filed with CMS.
Antawan’s background includes accounting experience as an auditor at Clifton Gunderson, the 9th largest accounting firm in the country. While there he was responsible for auditing all the court systems in the US including the district, probation, bankruptcy and pretrial court services. In addition, he worked in Information Technology consulting sector for public and government agencies completing SAS70 engagements and business continuity planning. He also served as an office manager at Joan Pratt, CPA and Associates in Baltimore, Maryland.
Lastly, Antawan graduated from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Computer Information Systems.
